Collecting Personal Information

      • Customer activity data is shared using the Meta Pixel, advanced matching, and Conversions API. Customers can disconnect this data from their Facebook account by changing their settings for Off-Facebook Activity.
    • Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
    • Order information
      • Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
      • Source of collection: collected from you.
      • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify, as well as any of Selkie Cove's drop ship fulfillment partners or other manufacturers, and marketing partners such as Beacons, Privy, Loop, etc.
      • Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, paypal account information, apple wallet, google pay and interac payment information) email address, and phone number.

    • Personal Information collected: Customer name, contact information, order number and other order information, details of damage, discrepancy, and/or defect

Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of majority in whichever state, province or jurisdiction you live in. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children. Sharing Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

    • We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
    • We may share your personal information with Governing bodies for tax related reasons.
    • We may utilize partnership with different manufacturers/suppliers to provide our customers with products, in these cases we share your information with these suppliers/manufacturers.
    • We utilize Beacons (linktree) as a marketing tool to provide our customers with ease of access to Selkie Cove's social media(s) as well as shop etc. As such your personal information may be shared with beacons to provide their services.
    • We utilize programs such as Privy, and Loop to provide discounts, newsletters, updates, offers, and email marketing, as such some of your personal information will be shared in order for these programs to provide their services.
    • We utilize programs such as FUGU fraud protection to help protect both Selkie Cove and the customer from fraudulent orders, and the use of fraudulent information.
    • We utilize a GDPR EU compliant cookie banner to provide ease of access to our privacy policy as well as make aware consumers about cookies being in use on the website.
    • We utilize TinyIMG photo resizer and seo tool as a photo and website optimizer, this allows us to compress our images for faster load times as well as optimize our customers experience on the website.

Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase this information. You may at any time request deletion of your personal information from Selkie Cove's database. However, Selkie Cove is not responsible for the collection/retention and/or deletion of your personal information from any Third Party partners. Advertising

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For example:

  • The website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site. We also share information about your use of the Site, your purchases, and the email address associated with your purchases with Shopify Audiences, through which other Shopify merchants may make offers you may be interested in.
  • We use Beacons (linktree), Privy, Loop, and FUGU fraud protection to assist in providing our services/marketing to our customers, as such they may gather information in line with their privacy policy in order to support customers in their use of the platform.
  • We use TinyIMG photo resizer and seo tool as a means by which to optimize the websites images as well as tags, links, and overall seo (search engine optimization) as such they may gather some information as it pertains to how the website is being used so that it can recommend optimizations for page load speed, image size, overall link flow etc.

Please allow 90 days from the time of contacting Selkie Cove to the time of account and/or information deletion/amendment/adjustment as it may taker some time for these changes to be processed.
